What the win rates tell you

Welcome! at 100% is a handshake — 21 million awards means basically everyone who loads in gets it.

Found the Needle! at ~32% is the interesting number: a third of players who show up actually complete the core objective. It is common enough that systematic play clearly works — see the search method — and rare enough that wandering aimlessly clearly fails.

Find the UFO at ~25% proves the secret is very findable despite zero official documentation — nearly four million players have it. The UFO badge guide tracks what is known.

Finished Chapter 2! at ~12.6% is the real gatekeeper: a key hunt plus an escape, in a place with no published map. It is the badge that separates tourists from finishers.

Do badges do anything?

They are achievement records, not power-ups — no confirmed stat effects. Their real value is sequence: Welcome! → Found the Needle! → (UFO, any time) → Finished Chapter 2! is the natural completion path, and the chapters guide walks the content in that order.
