Search For The Needle Classes: Full Roster & Spin Guide

Classes are Search For The Needle’s parallel progression track: a random-spin system at the in-game Classes booth, funded by Gems, that layers permanent perks onto the collect-sell-search loop. Here is the roster and how the system works.

The current class roster

Eight names appear in the live Classes menu (documented early September 2026):

Class What the name suggests
Starter Default — no specialty
Pack Mule Bag capacity / hauling
Hay Merchant Sell value
Forkmaster Pitchfork synergy
Demolitionist Dynamite synergy
Prospector Search/detection flavor
Drone Specialist Drone synergy
Ultimate Farmer Top-tier all-rounder

A warning before you trust any tier list: these names are verified menu sightings, but exact effect text, rarities, and odds are not officially published. Do not infer effects from labels alone — confirm the class card in your own game.

How do class spins work?

  1. Earn Gems — codes, the 8-day daily reward track, the 25-Gem group bonus (see the Gems guide).
  2. Go to the Classes booth in the lobby area.
  3. Spin for a reported 40 Gems — check the live menu, since balance values move between patches.
  4. The rolled class is permanently unlocked — switching back later is free.

That last point matters: classes are a collection, not a consumable. Every spin adds to your roster rather than gambling it away.

Is there a best class?

No verified ranking exists yet — anyone publishing one without current effect cards is copying opinion. The sane approach: read what your unlocked card actually says, then match it to your bottleneck. Chasing trough trips? Hay Merchant or Pack Mule territory. Running tool passes? Forkmaster, Demolitionist, and Drone Specialist exist for a reason.

Luck boosts worth knowing

  • 2X Class Luck — a paid pass (199 Robux) added September 12; details in the gamepasses guide.
  • PETS code — reported to grant a temporary 30-minute 2X Class Luck window; see the codes page.
  • Fast Rolls — a 179 Robux pass that likely speeds up roll animations.

Whether the code boost and the paid pass stack is untested — assume not. The best free play is banking Gems, popping a luck window if you have one, and spending spins inside it.
