Search For The Needle Permanent Tools: Pitchfork, Dynamite, Drone & Vacuum

The permanent tool passes are Search For The Needle’s “buy once, keep forever” tier — tools that persist across every round you join, unlike cash upgrades that you re-earn. Four exist, and they are not interchangeable.

The four tools

Pass Price Profile
Permanent Pitchfork 99 R$ Budget entry — a dedicated grab tool
Permanent Drone 129 R$ Automation flavor — an extra worker on the pile
Permanent Dynamite 149 R$ Burst clearing — removes volume in chunks
Vacuum (PERMANENT) [OP] 249 R$ Premium — continuous high-volume pickup

The official descriptions for Pitchfork, Dynamite, and Drone are detailed and confirm permanent availability; Vacuum’s is blank — its “[OP]” tag is the developer’s own marketing, so verify the in-game behavior rather than trusting the label.

What a permanent tool actually buys

Cash upgrades in the shop improve how you grab hay — but they live inside the loop you are grinding. A permanent tool sits outside that economy: it is there on join, round one, no cash required. That makes tools the only purchases that compress the early game itself.

The clearest frame is which upgrade line each tool replaces:

  • Pitchfork ≈ Grasp/Hand — dedicated picking power.
  • Dynamite ≈ burst Grasp — clears a chunk at once, trading precision for volume.
  • Drone ≈ a passive second pair of hands — works while you do.
  • Vacuum ≈ Grasp+Hand combined at the top end — hence the price.

The honest buy advice

  • One pass only? Vacuum if you will play past a few sessions, Pitchfork if you just want the early game gone cheaply.
  • Pair with Infinite Bag? A tool that grabs faster plus a bag that never fills is the full anti-grind combo — the two passes attack different bottlenecks and stack cleanly. Class players should also weigh 2X Class Luck before any tool.
  • Dynamite and Drone sit in the middle: real effects, but overlapping with each other. Pick whichever mechanic appeals — do not buy both on day one.

And the standing warning from the pass catalogue: prices here are a September 17 snapshot. The Roblox purchase prompt is the truth.
